Ft. Wayne and Ekoostik Hookah

I got the mapquest directions out and away we went, we arrived in fort wayne and found the Allen county library. The plaza which was right outside the library was a really nice courtyard. I loved the site. We got there in time for soundcheck. They played Freedom Flyer and another song I can't quite remember what right now. I briefly spoke to Eric Lanese (the drummer) he had brought his dog LEEEENNNNDA (Linda) but that's the way he likes to say it. The dog gave me a topic in which to speak to him. I never know what to say to the band members. I got to see Cliff pick up his book and walk into the library right after sound check that was a pretty funny site. I wonder if he was going to read, LOL. This was our cue to walk around and find a local bar in which to have a few drinks. There was a nice little establishment right down the street, they had soooo many beers Dave was in total heaven there. We met a really nice couple there, Bethany and Monty. They were also going to Rock the Plaza to see the Orange Opera (something like that) so they got to see EH also. I made some hula hoops for this event and ended up selling a couple. We also met up with Lisa and Tom, Ryan and Allison, Julie and Julie, oh there were others I'm forgetting to mention I'm sure. The show was great!!!! The place was great!!!! The people were great!!!! This definately made up for the night before. Now unfortunately I've got to get back to work, that's prolly why I don't post as often as I should I'll get to the end of a story and rush it. OH Well!!! Better something than nothing. Heehee............

some people, pshhh.......

WEll the vogue is one of my most favorite places to see a show. Friday the 13th, Ekoostik Hookah just happened to be playing there. It was so exciting. Dave's brother Tony and sister in law Angie went with us. We bought them tickets for Tony's b-day. We were so excited to take them. We always talk about EH and listen to them around Tony and Angie so it was awesome to have the opportunity to show them in person what they are all about. Before the show we went over to Liz and Matt's for some pre-party drinking. Dave was the DD for this night. Liz's best friend Carrie was there and we all sat around and laughed and had a nice time. Around 7:30pm me and Dave were ready to move the party to the vogue, which is exactly what we did. Once we arrived at the vogue there were so many of our friends there from all around so we made our rounds and sat down and listened to the opening band which was Hip-O. They were decent pretty fun actually, I do remember they played that "Foxy Lady" song. That was fun. Once the guys came on stage, I couldn't help myself I grabbed Angie up and we headed to the front of the stage to get down. It was nice seeing how much Angie enjoyed them, and at the same time kinda sad cause Tony wasn't having any fun. He seemed to make hisself miserable. Me and Angie shook our tails almost the whole first set. I really enjoy seeing a hookah virgin being totally drawn to them though. Needless to say since my spoiled ass self centered brother in law wasn't enjoying hisself he made sure the rest of us didn't either, so as to not get to negative about the situation, I'll just tell you now after the first set, during the set break we had to leave. Definately a good idea seeings as I wouldn't put it past him to literally throw himself on the ground and kick and scream til we did. But me and Dave we kept our heads up cuz we knew we had a whole nother day to see them. They were coming to Ft. Wayne on Saturday. And Angie said next time we'll just leave him at home. She definately wants to go again next time they are close to home.

So my oldest daughter who will not be 18 for another month, has decided she is ready to be on her own. Seems she cannot follow the simplest rules I've instilled. I'm still not sure how I feel. One minute, I'm upset the next I feel OK lets see how she does. I really don't think I'd be ready for it in a month either.
