Happy Halloween

I am really excited, had a great weekend. I'll begin with Friday night we went to Ryan and Allison's house for a halloween party at The House of Blue, I heard it's called. I had to go through a Haunted Maze at the beginning before you even get to the party, which anyone that knows me, knows I am a big scarety cat (or however you spell that.) But I survived by clinging to Allison in front of me and Dave behind me. It wasn't too bad, I don't think they were truely ready for people yet thank god cause I hate when they jump out in front of you. when we got upstairs it was a really neat place, there were these awesome paintings everywhere and tables and chairs, and a stage with a dance floor. It was the best halloween party ever. The people there were so much fun and very friendly crowd. I was impressed to say the least. Me and Dave ended up going to bed around 1:30am that morning, because we had to get up at 8:00am for Ryanne's cheerleading competition, It was the finals, and they were awesome:

This is Ryanne on the left hand side in the air, she is a flyer, she hit every stunt during there routine, I was so proud of them. They looked awesome.

Smile Sweetie:)

That's Ryanne on the far right. "They are so stinking cute"
"BEN DAVIS CHEERLEADERS ARE BEASTS!!!!!!!!!!!!"
So anyway it looks like we are going to state this coming up Saturday. They made it to State, I couldn't be prouder.

GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

California Fires.......

Ok I'm just sitting here thinking about these fires that are going on in california and I'm so bothered at how slowly they responded to the folks of New Orleans when it seems they were right there to help the folks of California. If I was from New Orleans that would really bother me. I guess the reason it's on my mind is because last week I rented a new release called "When the Levee's Broke", it is a documentary on the events that took place in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina and it is really sad. I cried through the whole movie practically. Now don't get me wrong I'm glad FEMA was there for the people of CA, it would be absolutely devistating to lose everything you have. But at the same time the people of New Orleans literally sat in that dome for 4 or more days with not even a pot to piss in, no bottle of water, nothing, no medicines for the sick, people were literally dying all over the place. It's just bothers me, that's all. I was watching the news this morning and it seems that this fire will not stop until it reaches the coast, that is damn near all the way across CA, can you imagine, Mother Nature WOW. What more can I say.

wow.... what a weekend

So I'm sitting here at work Monday morning thinking back about my weekend, I'm absolutely exhausted and should still be asleep. Our weekend was great we got to see alot of music over the past couple of days. Friday night we went to see Freekbass at the Mousetrap in Broad Ripple, I love this band. We always have so much fun when we see them. The remind me alot of Les Claypool. We hung out with their manager quite a bit Friday. It was interesting talking to him, it ends up that he also manages Bootsie Collins which I wasn't real sure who that was until Dave refreshed my memory. Friends of ours, Rhonda and Pete came and seen the band also. At around midnight we had to leave there and go to Spin in Broad Ripple (the old Patio) a friend of ours Derrick Howard was playing there and awhile back he had this contest on Myspace and I had won his cd. So he was really wanting me to check out his new band, they call theirselves Samesoul. It was pretty good. They did quite a bit of covers which is always fun. But honestly I really think I enjoyed Derrick better when he played solo though. He was sorta like a small Keller Williams. I am happy for him that he's got a band and playing gigs though. And I'm sure that with time they will get to be really good and popular. While at the Spin we did run into Kegan and Danni. That was nice cuz I've never really talked to them a whole lot even though we are fellow Hookahheads and I'm sure we've all camped beside each other not to mention the numerous shows we've attended.
So after all that fun on friday, I pretty much took it easy Saturday, me and Dave cleaned house and did laundry and tended to the kids. Aerial had to work, she is doing great with her job, it's now been a couple of months and she is starting to save up money for a car. My life will be so much easier when she has a car and can take herself back and forth to work. She had decided that for christmas she just wants me to take the money I would be spending on christmas for her and get her a car with what she's got saved and christmas money together. So I think that is a great idea and that's what I'll do. I'd like to have it by christmas and put a great big huge bow around it. Ryanne is busy as ever. She has this awesome school spirit, doesn't miss a game and loves her cheerleading, she has a competition coming up this Saturday I'm really excited about that she is getting really good.
We also went and got our costumes for friday night, big costume party, I'm so excited I love Halloween.
Anyway on Saturday night me and Dave just rented a couple of movies and stayed in, knowing that Sunday was the big Widespread Panic concert we'd been anticipating for a couple of months.
I loved it, I barely sat down the whole night last night. Our seats were in the balcony right in the center at the Murat. They turned out to be really good seats. A couple of friends showed up there to. Angela and Sara, Julie and Bob, Tom and Ann just to name a few, I love running into people we know. Jimmy Herring was awesome as was the whole band. I reconized nearly every song but I did have a hard time making out the words. They started at about 8pm and played til around 11pm. We got home last night at midnight and here I am at work, feeling like a zombie. It was well worth it.
